If you’re planning on getting married abroad, picking out a location for your wedding is one of the most important decisions you’ll make about your special day. The location for both the ceremony and the reception will dictate a lot of things, from the cost of catering to how many people you can invite to the wedding. Many couples are moving away from the standard wedding at a church followed by a reception at a banquet hall to something much more exotic. Destination weddings are becoming more and more popular, since they mean a vacation for everyone involved with the wedding, not just a honeymoon for the bride and groom.
The World Island Dubai
The World Islands, which some people refer to as the Palm World or Globe Islands (mistakenly), are in fact a collection of man-made islands shaped into the various continents of the world, located 4 kilometers off the shore of Jumeirah, close to the Palm Jumeirah, between Burj Al Arab and Port Rashid in the United Arab Emirates (U.A.E). When complete it will total 300 small private artificial islands divided into four categories - private homes, estate homes, dream resorts, and community islands. The 1.8 billion US$ project will eventually cover a total area of 9 kilometers (5.4 miles) in length and 6 kilometers (3.6 miles) in width. The only means of transportation between the islands will be by marine or air transport.
